God cares for the lillies, how much more He cares for you!

July 15, 2022
God, You know that I need You. I’m sorry for all the times I’ve pretended that I’m fine on my own. Please forgive me. Today, I come to You just as I am, and I give You all of my anxieties, cares, and worries. Please replace worry with peace, anxiety with hope, and concern with confident trust. I know that I am safe with You, and You can handle my problems. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, i have reflected this past week that it has been 20 years since Ladd was hurt... 16 years of marriage before that, 20 years of life before that...
I have learned a lot as I look back, but most of all, I have learned that you Lord have had me in the palm of your hand this whole time. Without you, I would have crumbled. Without you I would have been crushed. Thank you is not enough, but it is all I have.
Of anything I could ever ask or want for the reast of my life, I pray that my kids and their kids, my family, my neighbors, my friends, have a rich relationship with you. I pray that they seek and acknowledge your power and presence, sooner than I did, as Lord over their lives. That they know your peace and can release the weight of this world's burdens, and their sins, to you. ...because it is truly as simple as asking for your help and letting you direct what and where and when to let go.
Thank you Jesus. The hardness of the world is not nearly so hard when walking with you; for you take away the fear, anxiety and what if, so that we can deal with the what is one step at a time.

John 16:33 (NIV) "“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

John 3:16 (NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Matthew:28:11-30 (NLT)  28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Psalm 46:1-6

"God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
    and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
    and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
    the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
    God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
    he lifts his voice, the earth melts"
